Another thing, which will be good to do in order to have a better sleep, is to relate some exceptional scent with the bedtime ritual. The best scent for this is considered to be lavender scent, because it has been connected with the relaxation and rest; moreover, it is even provided on the bed pillows by a whole number or resorts. However, if someone does not like this scent, or is allergic to it, then another one should be chosen. In this case it would be possible to try the spray or incense of roses. Anyone can choose between a scented spray and oil, which is just related either to the person’s pillows or to his or her bed. This way a person is getting his or her body trained to associate some specific smells and sounds with the process of sleep. However, neither aroma candles nor air fresheners will make this influence on the human’s body.

One more good idea to improve the quality of someone’s sleep – a person, suffering from insomnia should avoid drinking or eating anything just before his or her routine time of rest. In case if it is possible, a person should try to adjust his or her timetable so, that all snacks, including the evening meal, will be finished at least an hour before going to sleep. It is advisable to do so, simply because any big meal takes time to get digested. Moreover, in contrast to a common consideration that alcohol takes anyone feel drowsy and relaxed; it is not appropriate for a proper night’s rest. In case if someone feels thirsty during late evening hours, her or she should prefer having a glass of water instead of coffee, soda, tea, or any other high sugar or caffeine containing drink.

A great number of people play video games, watch television, and / or talk over their mobile phones up until they feel sleepy. However, it is necessary to point out, that the lights are considered to be a mental stimulus, as well as an indication to stay awake. And, of no doubt, watching TV in the bedroom is not a good idea at all, simply because everyone’s bed is designed to be applied only for 2 things: #1 – the bed is for sleeping; #2 – the bed is certainly not for watching TV.
