| Causes of Insomnia | The origin of insomnia relates to physical and psychological conditioning processes. Consider the most common causes of this disorder.
Psychological Causes:
- The most common psychological causes include depression, stress, and anxiety. Many people suffer from insomnia during the acute phases of a mental disease. - Worrying bedtime - Mania or hypomania
Physiological Causes span from circadian rhythm disorders, sleep-wake disbalance, to a great number of medical conditions. They are:

Environmental Causes:
- Disruptive bed partner with loud snoring or periodic leg movements - Bedroom too cold or too hot - Irritating noise - Exercise, eating, alcohol or caffeine use before bedtime - Jet lag - Sleeping during your daytime - Shift work
